From Two Days to a Full Year: Cultivating Excellence in Jordan

Last August, I had the privilege of delivering an intensive INSET in Amman, Jordan. The energy in the room was palpable as we spent two days diving deep into the core of our profession: the role of the teacher in the classroom and the strategies required to secure high-quality teaching and learning.

While short-form training is excellent for sparking ideas, what has truly moved me since that trip is seeing that spark turn into a long-term commitment to professional growth.

The Power of Long-Form PD

I am absolutely delighted to see several colleagues from that INSET—including the brilliant Shahd Alkhateeb—take the leap and enrol in our British Teaching Diploma (BTD).

This shift demonstrates a global appetite for "long-form" professional development. While the INSET provided the foundation, the BTD offers:

A Full Academic Year of continuous growth.

78 Hours of live tuition.

Weekly Zoom Sessions with a dedicated community of 18 fellow Jordanian educators.

Watching Shahd's progress has been a highlight for me; her first two assignments have been exemplary, proving that when teachers are given the right sustained support, their practice reaches new heights.

A Legacy of Collaboration: Our Journey in Jordan

Our relationship with Jordanian educators is our most longstanding and cherished connection. Since our first cohort launched in 2022, the community has flourished:

Current Status: Now training our 6th Cohort.

Reach: Over 100 teachers impacted across Jordan.

Format: Blending live interaction with rigorous academic standards.

Looking Ahead: The MENA Region and Beyond

The success we've seen in Amman is just the beginning. The "appetite" for British teaching standards and high-quality pedagogy is growing, and we are excited to feed that hunger.

Big things are on the horizon! Stay tuned for exciting news regarding further developments in Qatar, the UAE, and the wider MENA region as we continue to expand our mission of educational excellence.
